Bua Loi (means Floating Lotus) - soft and sticky dough balls served in mildly sweet warm coconut milk sometimes with syrup-poached eggs on top. Different colored balls are made from sticky rice flour with different flavors including taro, sweet potato, pandan, pumpkin, etc. It has been around for over 200 years, and refuses to fade in popularity. That's why it is available in so many places, ranging from food stalls on the sidewalk to the finest of restaurants.
